Anime Series: Digimon
Digimon is short for digital monsters. This zodiac anime has a group of 12 Digimons popularly known as Deva. They were created by Zhuqiaomon. Their roots are from the Buddhist myth Twelve Heavenly Generals deities who protected Bhaiṣajyaguru(medicine buddha). Mixed with the Chinese zodiac signs, the Deva represent each zodiac sign as well.
They are an adherent follower of Digimon sovereign. Each sovereign has three Deva under them.
The Deva look similar to each other example they, all have three horns and red eyes. But they all possess different powers. Like Makuramon can take become a human, Pajiramon stomps hard to generate earthquakes, etc. Earlier Digimon was supposed to be a short film but, several requests were made to turn it into a children anime series. This virtually pleasing masterpiece is worth watching.
Anime Series: Fairy Tail
Imagine a world where wizards are paid for doing magic. Sounds unusual right! Well, the world of Fairy Tail is exactly like that. The story revolves around Natsu Dragneel(a dragon slayer wizard) who is searching for his adoptive father.. He meets Lucy Heartfilia and, she invites him to join Fairy Tail. She is the owner of 10 Celestial Spirits out of 12. These Celestial Spirits live in a different universe and are named after the zodiac signs.
Celestial Spirit Mages governs the spirits and can call them by using Celestial Spirit Gate Keys. The rest of the 2 Spirits are with Yukino Agria. This zodiac anime will take you to many adventures and mystical lands.
Anime Series: Fruit Basket
Tohru Honda is a high school who moves into her grandfather's house after her mother passed away. After facing unkind behaviour from the family members she moves out and starts living in a tent. One day when her tent is destroyed due to a landslide she moves into a house nearby. The resident of this house was her classmate Yuki Soma. She had no clue what was waiting for her inside the house.
Yuki's family is cursed. Twelve members of the Soma family have Chinese zodiac spirits in them. Excluding Akito Kyo who is the current god of the zodiac. This family turn into their zodiac signs only when they are under stress, embarrassed. They also tend to change when somebody of the opposite gender touches them. Tohru swears to keep it a secret for the Soma family but for how long will this arrangement sustain?
Anime Series: Star Twinkle Precure
The Starry Sky world is where 12 Star Princesses reside. This world is one day attacked by Notraiders. The Star Princesses scatter themselves as Princess Star colour pens to save the world from this darkness. If you will notice, all these star princesses look the same. They all wear light colour dresses and the colour of their hair is the same as well.
Apart from looking the same, they all possess the appearance of their zodiac signs. Like Sagittarius carries a bow and an arrow and Aries has the horns. Their powers are also based on the signs they have. The legend says, that there were 13 Star Princesses. All the Princesses wanted to share the power of imagination with everyone except the 13th one (Ophiuchus). Thus, she was exiled and, 12 zodiac signs came into existence.
Anime Series: Cardfight! Vanguard
Stride Gate in the series Cardfight!! Vanguard: Stride Gate, Ryuzu Myoujin(founder of the Vanguard) is always plotting to open the Stride Gate. He calls upon several Zodiac Time Beasts using Depend Cards to control them.
Zodiac Time Beasts is a race that has twelve Chinese zodiac signs. Several subordinates and followers base themselves on these Zodiac Time Beasts.
Zodiac Time Beast originates from "12 factors that rule over time". They were sealed in Deus Ex Machina, Demiurge until researchers found them and analysed each one separately. I have seen plenty of races but, this one gave me a brain freeze. This action-packed series has all the magical elements of the zodiac signs and a much-needed thrill for every race-lover heart.
