"Chibi" is a slang word in Japanese used to describe anything short. From being just a slang word, this word has paved its way to the anime world. Chibi anime refers to characters that have petite and chubby structures. Usually, they have small bodies with either large heads or eyes.
They look cute and, people adore them around the globe. Here we will be talking about some famous chibi anime characters that made their audience fall in love with them. I am sure you will agree with this list.
1. Chika Fujiwara:

It's hard for people to believe that Reborn is a hitman as he always remains calm during difficult situations. He is mischievous and teases kids all day long.
Unlike other Japanese series characters, Reborn has his roots in Italy. A magical fact about this cute little hitman is that he can read minds.
3. Belldandy:

"I want a goddess like you to be by my side forever" is the wish that Keiichi Morisato asked from Belldandy and, since then, she became a part of the fantasy series Oh My Goddess. She is a goddess who came from heaven to grant Keiichi a wish after he accidentally calls "Goddess Relief Agency".
Belldandy has big blue eyes and is taller than Keiichi. She is drop-dead gorgeous and, everyone around her is smitten with her beauty.
She is empathetic and kind. If she senses trouble around anyone, she jumps on to help without even giving it a thought.
Her mode of transportation are mirrors that means she can teleport herself through them. Unlike other girls, Belldandy shows her emotions by performing magic tricks like weather changes, blasting out powers etc.
4. Index Librorum Prohibitorium:

Index is naive and innocent. She is curious about modern-day technology so, Hyouka Kazakiri shows her how to use the gadgets. If one has to sum up her personality in two words, I would call her optimistic and happy.
The character of Index is based, upon an actual girl who was an acquaintance of the writer.
5. Nezuko:

I have another beautiful chibi anime character who will give you chills her, name is Nezuko Kamado. She belongs to an unwealthy family. One day a demon named Muzan Kibutsuji came to her house, killed her family members and turned her into a monster.
Nezuko has pale skin and, she is small-boned. Her hair is black till her waist and, then, they turn into flamy orange colour.
When Nezuko was a human, she is kind and loving. After transforming into a demon, she did possess the same traits. But, losing most of her memories made her care about only those whom she remembers.
She tried to attack her brother once because of her thirst for human blood. Her transformation led her in having a stuttering issue.
6. Umaru:

Himouto!Umaru-chan is an anime series based on the life of a high-school student Umaru Doma. She is a perfect school girl but, at her home, Umaru has a small and cute face. She is charismatic, tops in her class and excels in everything. Whereas at her house, she is lazy and messy.
Umaru is like any other teenage girl who is polite outside but loud and stubborn when at home. She fears ghosts but always denies it.

One thing that I love about Kukuri is that she doesn't allow anyone to comment about her looks.
Apart from getting angry on hearing anything negative about her appearance, she has a charming personality. She is also very affectionate towards the protagonist Nike. She is good at playing almost every game like rock-paper-scissor, cricket etc.

Hana Miyakoshi is one of the characters in the comedy anime series WWW.Working!! This chibi anime character is my favourite as she is brave and does what she feels like doing.
She is enthusiastic and carefree. Most of the time Hana is strict but, her personality keeps on changing as per her environment.
Her hair is short and dark tan. During the series, you will mostly notice her wearing a waitress uniform as she is a floor chief at a restaurant.
Hana loves making chocolates and giving them out on Valentine's day. Unfortunately, those chocolates do not taste any good.
9. Aoyama:

The story of Clean Freak! Aoyama-Kun revolves around our handsome chibi anime character Aoyama. He is a clean freak and does not like to have any physical contact.

Bungo Stray Dogs Wan is a Special Detective Agency that solves problems with its supernatural power. Atsushi Nakajima is a member of this agency.
He has a slim built, pale skin and light grey hair. He suffers from segmental heterochromia which, makes his eyes half purple half yellow. Because of this, he had to go through bullying during his orphanage days.
His past traumas have taken a great deal over his personality making, him weak and giving him nightmares. Due to this, he lacks judgment and never trusts his instincts. Above all of this, he can change himself into a white tiger.
