Written by the ace manga writer Hiro Fujiwara, Maid Sama is an epic tale of love. Like any other old tale, this love story has loads of hurdles. But as they say, love wins it all, and so happens in this maid anime.
While watching this series, I went into an emotional roller-coaster ride. Every scene in it is pure gold. Maid Sama is something I would love to rewatch.
Synopsis:
Our story starts in Seika High. This school used to be an all-boys school. Recently they turned it into a co-ed school. As the girls were in a minority Misaki Ayuzawa, tried her best to make the school a better place for girls. She was brilliant at athletics and academics. Due to this, she rose to the position of first girl student council president. As she resented boys, all thought of her as a strict boy-hating dictator.
After school, she worked at a cafe as a waitress, and nobody knew about it. Usui, the male lead of this story discovers Misaki's secret but keeps it safe with himself. Much to Misaki's annoyance, Usui becomes a regular customer at the cafe. I won't be spiling any more beans for you. Find out yourself what happens next.
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

Fantasy dramas were never my cup of tea until I stumbled upon this gem. This fantasy comedy-drama is no less than a jolly ride that you want to be a part of. The concept of the series is fresh and, it keeps the viewers crave for more.
Synopsis:
Kobayashi, our female mainstay, is an office worker and a programmer. One fine day she encounters a dragon at her doorstep. She is confused and couldn't understand what is a dragon doing at her place?
Unexpectedly, the dragon transforms itself into a girl wearing a maid's outfit and introduced itself as Tohru. What happened was a night before this incident drunken Kobayashi went into the mountains she, saw Tohru and helped her by taking out the holy sword from her back.
Tohru was moved by this act of kindness and decides to go back to Kobayashi as she had no place to stay. Kobayashi lets her stay and asks her to be her maid. The story further has several ups and downs. You will love watching it.

Today as well people look down on others who do not belong to influential families. This historical drama to everybody's dismay is the reality of our world.

The Victorian Era was a difficult period for all, especially women. They didn't have basic rights and were asked to be only good housewives. Men who came from wealthy backgrounds enjoyed every bit of freedom. Whereas people working as house helps, waiters, etc. were not given equal treatment.
Emma, the lead of the series is a maid at a retired Governess, Kelly Stownar's house. One day a handsome man named William Jones pays a visit to Kelly's residence. Emma greeted William at the door and, he was smitten with her beauty.
As every love story has its fair share of struggles, so did Emma and William's. Belonging from a rich family William had the burden of his family's legacy. Will these love birds ever meet? Will society accept their union?

Logline: This uncle-nephew duo will fill in the series with giggles and fun.

These 12 episodes of the humourous convoy will make your stomach hurt with laughter. Each scene is a jolly ride that you would love to hop on. I watched the whole show in one go. It was so hard to stop watching it until I hit the final episode and rewatched it again.

Chihiro Komiya is an enthusiastic high school who lives with his mom. After his mother passes away he is left all alone. He had no close relative and not even a house. A man named Madoka Taketori, who claimed to be Chihiro's uncle came to take him.
He asked Chihiro to live with him. Although wealthy, Madoka's mansion was messy. Chihiro being a clean freak employed himself as Madoka's maid and asked to get paid every month.
You will have tears of laughter in your eyes after watching their fights.
Kimiaru, They Are My Noble Masters

Kimiaru, They Are My Noble Masters, is a Japanese adult visual novel released in the year 2007. The adult content was removed when it was released for PlayStation 2. I found the story unusually appealing. It is different from the rest in the list and smartly written.
Synopsis:
The torch-bearer of our maid series is Ren Uesugi. He ran away with his half-sister Mihato, after facing several beatings from his father. They began looking for a job and stumbled upon an employment opportunity at Kuonji family's mansion.
They were employed as servants for three Kuonji sisters: Shinra, Miyu, and Yume. This position meant that Ren has to associate with other servants and the friends of the sisters. Be ready for the dramatic twists and turns of the series.
Mahoromatic
Logline: Suguru’s feeling for Mahoro is increasing but she is on the verge of being disposed of.

Imagine being in love with someone and not being able to touch them. It sounds so pathetic. One can only sympathise with our next protagonist. He might seem a little weird but, his heart is kind and lovable. Don't judge him by his looks, the story will wash away all your prejudices.
Synopsis:
Our hero, Duke of Death, was born into a noble family. He has a despicable power. Whatever he touches is killed. Due to this, his mother sends him to a faraway estate.
His mother's hateful attitude towards him makes the Duke sad. He is not living alone in that estate. He has Rob his butler and Alice, his maid to keep him company.
Eventually, he falls in love with Alice but his evil power won't let him touch her. He decides to break this curse and live a peaceful life.

I guess my love for comedy series has paved its way to this list. I have yet another comedy series that you would love from starting till the end. It is funny it is confusing. It has everything that should be there to make a comedy series successful.
I swear the synopsis will have zero spoilers and only fun stuff.
Synopsis:
Hotori Arashiyama will be the centre of the series. She joins a Seaside Maid Cafe to pay off her school debt. Her friend Toshiko runs the cafe. Toshiko knows how to run the cafe but has no interest in working in it.
There is only one reason why Toshiko is still there at the cafe. That is because of Hiroyuki(Hotori's childhood friend) who is regular at the cafe. Toshiko has a crush on Hiroyuki and, Hiroyuki has a crush on Hotori. The question is who does Hotori has a crush on? To find the answer you have to watch it.
Hanaukyo Maid Team

The original anime series, Hanaukyo Maid Team was first cut short due to production issues. After that, it was rebooted and launched with a new name Hanaukyo Maid Team: La Verite.
The originality of the series is its biggest USP. Famous amongst the majority of youngsters, I would recommend it for all anime lovers.
Synopsis:
Taro Hanaukyo's grandfather invites him to stay at his place after his mother passes away. A beautiful maid Mariel tells Taro that his grandfather has retired and moved away to a remote island.
She also told him that his grandfather has given him ownership of his place.
Surrounded by several maids 24*7 Taro's life is to envy for. But, slowly and steadily secrets start to reveal and, it is going to be hard for Taro to digest.
Hand Maid May
Logline: May who came into Kazuya’s life to help gets in trouble.

The creators of Hand MAid May are Jūzō Mutsuki and Wonderfarm. This is the only maid series in the list which has been directly adopted as an anime series. The story revolves around Kazuya Saotome, and a robotic Cyberdoll named May. Watch it once and let the magic of May sink into your hearts.
Synopsis:
Kazuya Saotome is a second-year engineering student at Ochanomizu Industrial University. He dreams of building a robot called Doremon. His rival Kotaro Nanbara gives him a computer program that was supposed to help Kazuya but is instead a virus.
To fix his robot he orders a cyber doll May. She is a palm-sized robot who cares about Kazuya. She helps Kazuya and teaches a lesson to Kotaro.
In an attempt to take away May from Kazuya, Kotaro takes help from other cyber dolls. What will happen next only time will tell.
Kamen No Maid Guy
Logline: Kogarashi will be do anything to protect Naeka till the end.

Misha's father employs Tsubame Kamoi as their housekeeper. Though his work is limited up to the house he stills tries to come closer to Misha no matter how much she runs away.
He Is My Master
Logline: Yoshitaka's pranking days are coming to an end.

Synopsis:
Yoshitaka received a gigantic inheritance after the death of his beloved parents. He fired all the maids and later on realised he needed to be taken care for. So, he hired some new-live in maids. He was surprised to see that the maids were not elderly.
They were two runaway girls Izumi and Mitsuki. A third maid joins them named Anna. The whole day Yoshitaka keeps on pulling pranks on these girls and teasing them.

A family has a reputation for stealing things from 400 years ago. Their main motivation is that anything can be stolen. People know the third from one name Mouse.
Nobody knows how does the appearance of Mouse or what is his/her real name is. A young college teacher Muon Sorata takes up the name to continue with the heists. He is accompanied by three beautiful assistants.
Mouse is famously known for abandoning those who help them. Let's see whether these assistants will be abandoned or will the professor take them on more heists.
A Little Princess Sara

A Little Princess Sara has been nominated as the best 100 Japanese anime series of all time. It beautifully depicts the plea of a girl named Sara. Bullying, poverty, child abuse are some of the topics that have been highlighted throughout the series. This show has also been added to Netflix Middle East from 2020.
Synopsis:
Sara belonged to a wealthy family. She had everything and went to an all girls-seminary boarding school in London. Everybody loved her and she was good at her studies as well. One fine day tragedy struck into Sara's little paradise as she got the news of her father's passing.
Her family were left with no money and she turned orphan. Taking advantage of the situation school's headmistress Miss Minchin treated Sara very badly and made her an unpaid servant at school.
The rest of the series has details about what all Sara went through. I am sure your heart will ache for Sara all through the series.
